Adult day care services are provided in a safe, structured, supervised environment. Activities serve to maintain and enhance cognitive functioning for elderly and frail clients. The Lightfoot Adult Day Care Center offers a viable alternative to premature institutionalization.
Recreational and therapeutic day services are offered to dependant older adults -- including those suffering from Alzheimer's, Parkinsons, and the disabilitating effects of stroke. Group activities promote social and daily living skills.
The Center is located next door to the New Hope Outreach Clinic -- a partnership between the New Hope Baptist Church and the University of Michigan Health System. The Center is a tax-exempt non-profit. It meets or exceeds the adult daycare standards set by the State of Michigan.
