We help families of disabled seniors find local day care services.
As our beloved Seniors age, a point comes when the supervision of a caring adult is required. For many, it is a spouse, partner, child or good friend who provides the needed care. Others may prefer to move into an Assisted Living Facility, or even a Nursing Home.
Focus on family caregivers
They are the quiet heros! And we salute their hard work and compassion. It’s not easy – caring for loved ones afflicted with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, dementia, Diabetes, chronic depression, accidental inury, loneliness, and the frailty of advanced age.
At SeniorDayServices we try to present information about topics of interest to our readership.
Family caregivers need a break
When a family caregiver needs a brief respite, there are currently two options:
- Hire a part-time caregiver to work in their home a few hours a week
- Send their elderly family member to a Senior Day Care Center one or more days a week
Both solutions provide time for family members to take care of their own needs – and perform other duties (i.e. run errands, shop, exercise, socialize, rest).
